Consenso de Santiago

The World Summit on Teachers, hosted by UNESCO and the Government of Chile, successfully took place in Santiago de Chile on 28-29 of August, culminating in the adoption of the Santiago Consensus. Priority actions include producing policies that strengthen the teaching profession, advocating for continuous professional development, encouraging the participation of teachers in policymaking, prioritizing sustainable financing, and reaffirming inclusion, equity, and gender equality in all elements of teaching.
